How We Test

Why we test at all

Almost every non-GamStop list online is ordered by commission. That is not a conspiracy theory — it is the default business model, and it is why the same handful of sites appear at the top of pages that have obviously never been used.

We order by measured payout speed instead. It is the one metric that cannot be faked by an operator and the one that matters most to a player who has just won.

The process, step by step

  1. Register a real account with our own details. No press accounts, no operator-provided logins.
  2. Verify the licence on the regulator's register before depositing. If no number is published, the review says so.
  3. Deposit our own money — typically £100 to £250, enough to play meaningfully without distorting the test.
  4. Play normally. Slots at real stakes, a live table session, and the sportsbook where one exists.
  5. Request a withdrawal and start the clock. We record the request time, the method, the coin or card, and the amount.
  6. Record the arrival time to the minute, and screenshot the transaction.
  7. Repeat monthly. Payout speed drifts. A figure measured once and never revisited is a marketing claim, not a measurement.

What we publish

The measured time, the rail it was paid on, and the date. Nothing averaged, nothing rounded up in the operator's favour.

Where a site has not been tested yet, the table says so. We would rather show a gap than a guess.

What we check beyond the cashier

What would get a site removed

A refused or unexplained withdrawal. A licence that cannot be verified. Bonus terms applied differently from how they are written. Or a pattern of complaints describing the same failure.

Removal is not permanent — operators fix things — but a site comes off the list first and gets re-tested afterwards.
