This site is about the games, not just the casinos. Every page below covers one game, game type or studio — what it is, how its maths works, how the UK version differs, and which sites not on GamStop carry it.

The reason that matters: since 2021 the UK Gambling Commission has capped online slots at £2 a spin, banned bonus buys, removed autoplay and turbo, and forced a minimum spin cycle. Offshore operators have none of those restrictions, so the same game genuinely plays differently.

Below are the sites we tested. Each one has been deposited into and withdrawn from, with the payout time recorded.

What are non-GamStop games?

GamStop is the UK's national online self-exclusion scheme. Every operator holding a UK Gambling Commission licence is legally required to connect to it, which is why registering once blocks you across every British site at the same time.

"Non-GamStop games" is shorthand for the games you can play at operators that hold no UKGC licence — sites regulated in Anjouan, Curaçao or Costa Rica instead. They are not connected to the GamStop database, and because they sit outside UKGC scope they are not bound by the rules the Commission introduced for the British market.

That last part is the whole story. The games are the same games, from the same studios, running the same engines. What changes is the configuration: the stake ceiling, whether the bonus buy is switched on, how fast a reel can spin, and which RTP build the operator chose to run. This page covers each of those, game type by game type.

Every game type you can play

Offshore lobbies carry the same categories a UK site does, but several of them behave differently once the UKGC rulebook stops applying. These are the ones worth knowing about, each with its own page on this site.

Slots

The category where the difference is largest. UK slots are capped at £2 a spin; offshore the same titles routinely accept £100 or more. Bonus buy features — paying directly to trigger a feature round — are banned in Britain and available almost everywhere else. Average RTP across the sites we list sits between 95.9% and 96.4%. Slots not on GamStop →

Volatility matters more than RTP for how a session feels. A 96% low-volatility slot pays small and often; a 96% high-volatility slot pays rarely and large. Same expected return, completely different experience — and offshore, with no stake cap, the high-volatility end is where bankrolls disappear fastest.

Megaways

Big Time Gaming's licensed reel engine, where the symbol count on each reel changes every spin to produce up to 117,649 ways to win. Because the format is built around high variance, the £2 cap does not reduce the risk — it just stretches the time you are exposed to it. Offshore builds keep the bonus buy. Megaways slots not on GamStop →

There are now well over a hundred licensed Megaways titles, and quality varies enormously. The originals — Bonanza, Buffalo Rising, Extra Chilli — remain the reference points; many later clones simply bolt the engine onto weaker maths.

Live casino

The dealers, studios and camera feeds are identical to the ones UK sites use, because most run the same Evolution licence. The ceilings are not identical. Offshore live tables commonly accept stakes several multiples above their UK equivalents on precisely the same table. Live casino not on GamStop →

Check the studio before the table. A lobby running Evolution, Pragmatic Live and Playtech is a serious one; a lobby running studios you have never heard of is usually white-labelled and thinly staffed at quiet hours.

Roulette

Where the table-limit gap is most visible. Look for Lightning Roulette for its 500× multipliers, Immersive for the production values, Auto for the fastest cycle, and French Roulette for the lowest house edge on the floor at 1.35%. Roulette not on GamStop →

European and French wheels have a single zero and a 2.7% house edge. American wheels add a double zero and push it to 5.26% — nearly twice the cost for an identical-looking game. Always check which wheel you have opened.

Blackjack

The lowest house edge in any casino when played with correct basic strategy — around 0.5% on favourable rules. Which rules the operator runs matters far more than which casino you pick: blackjack paying 3:2 rather than 6:5 is the single biggest factor. Blackjack not on GamStop →

The rule to look for is the payout on a natural. Blackjack paying 3:2 is standard; 6:5 roughly triples the house edge on the same table with the same dealer. It is the most expensive detail in any casino and the easiest to miss.

Slingo

A British format that never travelled: a five-reel slot strip crossed with a 5×5 bingo grid. Published RTPs range wider than slots do, roughly 92% to 96%, and the effective figure depends heavily on whether you buy extra spins. Slingo not on GamStop →

Scratch cards

Instant-win games with fixed, published prize tables — among the most transparent products in any lobby. RTPs sit lower than slots, typically 90% to 96%, and they are frequently excluded from bonus wagering. Scratch cards not on GamStop →

Crash games and provably fair originals

Dice, crash, plinko, mines and limbo — games the operator builds itself rather than licensing in. The ones worth playing are provably fair: the outcome is generated from a server seed and a client seed you control, so you can verify afterwards that the result was fixed before you played. Conventional casino games offer nothing comparable.

The individual slots UK players search for

These are the specific slots British players look for by name when they go looking outside the UK market. Each has its own page here covering the maths, the RTP builds the studio ships, and which sites carry it.

The pattern across all of them is the same: identical artwork, identical mechanics, different configuration. The stake ceiling changes, the bonus buy reappears, and the RTP build becomes the operator's choice rather than a displayed obligation.

One habit covers all of them. Whichever title you open, check the paytable first. The RTP shown there comes from the build that operator is running, and it is the one number a casino cannot quietly edit. How to read it →

The studios behind the games

Which studios a lobby carries tells you more than the total game count does. These are the ones that dominate UK search demand, and the ones whose absence should make you look twice.

Pragmatic Play

The highest-volume slot studio in the market and the one whose bonus buy is most missed on UK sites. Big Bass Bonanza, Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza are its best-known families. Pragmatic ships most titles in several RTP builds — commonly 96.5%, 95.5% and 94.5% — so the paytable is worth opening. Pragmatic Play →

NetEnt

The Swedish studio behind Starburst, the default free-spins game across the entire industry, and Gonzo's Quest, which invented cascading reels. Now part of Evolution, so operators carrying Evolution live tables usually carry NetEnt slots too. NetEnt →

Blueprint Gaming

Based in Newark and unusually UK-centric, which is why it dominates British search. Fishin' Frenzy and Eye of Horus are the two titles you will see everywhere. It also holds a Megaways licence, so several of its games exist in both classic and Megaways builds. Blueprint Gaming →

Evolution Gaming

The dominant live-dealer supplier worldwide and the main reason to choose one live lobby over another. Because the licence is expensive, plenty of offshore casinos advertise "live casino" while running only smaller studios. The named titles — Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette, Monopoly Big Baller — are how you tell. Evolution Gaming →

Play'n GO, Nolimit City and Hacksaw

Play'n GO built Book of Dead, the Egyptian expanding-symbol slot that defined a decade of UK play. Nolimit City and Hacksaw specialise in extreme volatility — Folsom Prison, Fire in the Hole, San Quentin — with ceilings running into five figures times stake. All three are staples of offshore lobbies and increasingly rare on UK ones.

What UKGC rules removed in 2021

Between 2020 and 2021 the Gambling Commission introduced a package of changes to online slots. None of them altered the RTP directly; all of them altered how a session feels. This is the concrete list of what a UK-licensed site can no longer offer you.

The £2 stake cap

Online slots are capped at £2 a spin for all players, and £5 for those aged 18 to 24 under later affordability rules. Offshore operators apply no equivalent ceiling, and £100+ per spin is common on mainstream titles.

The bonus buy ban

Paying a fixed multiple of your stake — usually 75× to 100× — to trigger a feature round directly. Banned outright in Britain since 2021. Where a studio ships the feature, offshore builds keep it.

Autoplay

Removed entirely from UK sites. Every spin must be individually initiated. Offshore, autoplay and turbo both remain standard.

Minimum spin speed

UK slots must take at least 2.5 seconds per spin, and features that create an illusion of control — slam stops, quick spin — are prohibited. Offshore titles run at the studio's original pace.

Reverse withdrawals

UK operators may no longer let you cancel a pending withdrawal and put the money back into play. Many offshore sites still permit it, which is convenient and, honestly, the feature most likely to cost you money.

RTP: the number the operator chooses

This is the part of offshore play that gets the least attention and deserves the most. Return to Player is the percentage of all wagered money a game returns across millions of spins — 96% RTP means £96 back for every £100 staked over the game's full cycle, not over your session.

What most players do not realise is that the same slot ships in several RTP configurations, and the operator picks which one to run. Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, NetEnt and Red Tiger all publish multiple builds of their headline titles — commonly 96.5%, 95.5% and 94.5%, occasionally as low as 88%.

UK-licensed sites must display the RTP of every game. Offshore sites are under no such obligation. That does not mean they run lower builds — several of the operators on this page run the studio default — but it does mean the burden of checking sits with you.

Checking takes ten seconds. Open the game, click the information or paytable icon, and scroll to the final screen. The figure shown there comes from the build you are actually playing, which is the one number an operator cannot quietly edit. Our full RTP guide walks through it →

A worked example. A 94% build costs three times as much per £100 staked as a 98% build. Over 2,000 spins at £2 that is the difference between an expected cost of £120 and £40 — on the same game, with the same artwork, at the same casino.

Non-GamStop, non-GamCare, non-UK and non-GamBlock

These four terms are used interchangeably across this niche and they do not mean the same thing. Two of them describe something that never blocked you in the first place.

TermWhat it actually meansDoes it block you?
Non-GamStopNot connected to the UK's national self-exclusion databaseNo
Non-UKHolds no UKGC licence at all — the broadest of the fourNo
Non-GamCareNot affiliated with the GamCare charity. GamCare provides support and never blocked any accountNo — it never did
Non-GamBlockNot covered by GamBlock, blocking software you install on your own deviceOnly if you installed it

The licences you will see

The regulator is the single most useful thing to check, and the thing most lists skip. A badge in a footer proves nothing — verify the number on the regulator's own register.

Payments and how fast each one actually pays

Payout speed is the clearest quality signal in this category, and the rail you choose matters more than the casino you choose. Every figure below comes from our own timed withdrawals.

MethodDepositWithdrawal (measured)Notes
Litecoin / USDTInstant15–30 minFastest route by a wide margin; lowest network fees
Bitcoin10–30 min30–50 minSlower and dearer when the network is congested
Visa / MastercardInstant1–3 working daysLeaves the casino fast; your bank is the delay. Some UK banks decline gambling MCC codes
PaysafecardInstantDeposit onlyYou cannot withdraw to it
Skrill / NetellerInstantUsually same dayFrequently excluded from bonus eligibility

PayPal is not an option. No genuine casino outside the UK market offers it — PayPal only partners with licensed operators in regulated markets. Any site advertising PayPal in this category is worth treating with real suspicion.

Bonuses, and the three terms that decide everything

Offshore welcome offers look far larger than UK ones because nothing caps the advertised value. A "500% bonus" is a match across several deposits, not cash in your account. Three terms decide whether you ever see any of it.

The wagering multiplier

35× to 45× on the bonus amount is standard; below 30× is genuinely good. Check whether it applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus — the second doubles the work for the same headline number.

The maximum bet while wagering

Usually £5. Breaching it voids the bonus, and this is the single most common reason a withdrawal is refused at any offshore casino. It is also the easiest term to breach by accident on a site with no stake cap.

The maximum cashout

On no-deposit and free-spin offers, winnings are frequently capped at 5× to 10× the bonus regardless of what you actually win.

Game weighting

Slots normally clear wagering at 100%, table games at 10%, live dealer often at 0%. Playing blackjack to clear a slots bonus can mean making no progress at all. Full guide to wagering →

Are casinos not on GamStop safe?

Honestly: less safe than a UKGC site, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. Here is the trade in both directions, without the marketing.

What you gain

No £2 stake cap. Bonus buy features. Autoplay and turbo. Higher live table ceilings. Crypto payouts measured in minutes rather than banking days. Verification that is risk-based rather than mandatory before your first withdrawal.

What you give up

UKGC oversight. Access to the UK complaints route and independent dispute resolution. Deposit-limit prompts and affordability interventions. The requirement that player funds are held to UK standards. If an offshore operator refuses to pay, your options are the regulator's own process — which is slower and weaker than the UK equivalent — and public pressure.

How to reduce the risk

Pick operators trading for more than two years — the ones that stop paying rarely last that long. Verify the licence number on the regulator's register rather than trusting a footer badge. Complete KYC at registration, not at withdrawal. Keep balances small and withdraw regularly instead of letting funds build up. And read the bonus terms before you accept, not after a payout is refused.

Why some operators stay outside the UK market

It is worth understanding the commercial logic, because it explains what kind of business you are dealing with.

A UKGC licence is expensive and demanding. It brings affordability checks, mandatory GamStop integration, the £2 slot cap, a ban on bonus buys, strict advertising rules and a levy on gross gambling yield. For an operator whose product is built around high stakes, crypto rails and feature-rich slots, complying means removing most of what makes the product distinctive.

So they do not apply. Instead they license in Anjouan or Curaçao, where the requirements are lighter and the fees a fraction of the UK equivalent, and they accept UK traffic without soliciting it directly. That is the grey area this entire category lives in: not illegal for you to use, not licensed to advertise to you.

The practical consequence is that these operators compete on the things the UK market removed — stake freedom, bonus buys, payout speed and payment choice — because those are the only axes left where they can beat a British site.

UK-licensed sites versus sites not on GamStop

Set side by side, the differences are specific rather than vague. This is the whole trade in one table.

The bonus types you will actually encounter

Offshore promotion is more varied than the standard British welcome match. These are the formats worth recognising, roughly in order of how much they are usually worth.

Rakeback

A share of the house edge returned on every wager, paid as cash with no playthrough attached. It looks unimpressive next to a 500% headline and is almost always worth more to a regular player, because there is nothing to clear and nothing to forfeit. Stake, Roobet and Gamdom all build their offer around it.

Wager-free cashback

A percentage of net losses returned, usually weekly, with no wagering condition. Betpanda and Cryptorino both run 10%. The wager-free part is what gives it value — cashback carrying 40× playthrough is a bonus wearing a disguise.

The welcome match

The familiar format: a percentage of your deposit, often spread across the first two to four deposits. Offshore headlines run from 100% to 500%. The percentage is a ceiling, the multiplier is the price, and the max-bet rule is where most people lose the bonus.

Free spins

Usually bundled with a welcome match and tied to one specific slot — very often Starburst, because its low volatility makes the operator's exposure predictable. Check the spin value and whether winnings are capped.

No deposit offers

Small, heavily restricted, and capped on cashout at typically 5× to 10× the bonus. Useful for seeing whether you like a lobby; not a route to profit.

Reload bonuses

Recurring matches on later deposits, usually smaller than the welcome offer. Worth more than a welcome bonus over a season if you deposit regularly.

High roller offers

Larger matches with correspondingly larger minimum deposits. The multiplier is usually the same, so the absolute cost of clearing rises with the amount.

Crypto deposit bonuses

An extra percentage for funding in coin rather than card. It reflects the operator's own saving on processing fees, which is why it exists at all.

Opening an account and making your first withdrawal

The mechanics are simpler offshore than in the UK, but two steps in this sequence are the ones that determine whether your first payout takes minutes or days.

  1. Register. Email and a password. Crypto-first sites frequently ask for nothing else at this stage.
  2. Complete verification straight away, before you deposit. This is the step almost everyone skips and the single most common reason a payout stalls anywhere. Documents already on file are the difference between a 15-minute withdrawal and a three-day one.
  3. Set your own limits. Most offshore sites offer deposit limits, session reminders and self-exclusion tools even though no regulator forces them to. They are voluntary, which means nobody will prompt you — set them on day one or you will not set them at all.
  4. Deposit. Litecoin or USDT if you hold crypto; card if you do not and the site takes fiat. Note the minimum, which is typically £10 to £20.
  5. Decide about the bonus before you play, not after. Accepting a bonus locks your balance under wagering conditions. Declining it keeps the money withdrawable at any moment. Neither is wrong, but the choice is far harder to reverse than to make.
  6. Play, then test the cashier early. Withdraw a modest amount the first time you are ahead and time it. That one exercise tells you more about an operator than any review.
  7. Withdraw regularly rather than accumulating. Balances left sitting at an offshore casino carry counterparty risk that a UK site does not. Taking money out is the simplest form of protection available to you.

How to choose a site for the game you want

Start from the game rather than the bonus. It is the faster route to a site you will actually keep using.

  1. Decide what you play. High-volatility slots, live roulette, blackjack, sport — each points at a different site on this page. A casino with 8,000 slots is no use if you play tables.
  2. Check the studios, not the game count. If you play Pragmatic or Nolimit City titles, confirm they are actually in the lobby. Totals are inflated by shovelware.
  3. Open a paytable before you deposit. Most lobbies let you load a game in demo mode. The RTP shown is the build that operator is running.
  4. Verify the licence number on the regulator's register, not in the footer.
  5. Read the max-bet rule if you intend to take a bonus. On a site with no stake cap this is the easiest term in the world to breach by accident.
  6. Test with a small withdrawal first. Deposit, play, cash out something modest, and time it. That single exercise tells you more about an operator than any review — including this one.

How we rank the sites on this page

Most non-GamStop lists are ordered by commission. Ours is ordered by measured payout speed first, then by the checks below. Where two operators are close, the one with the longer trading history wins.

Every site here has been opened with a real account, funded with our own money and cashed out at least once. A site we cannot withdraw from does not appear, regardless of what it pays.

  1. Measured withdrawal time. Timed from request to arrival, on a named coin, on a named date. The figure in the table is what we recorded, not what the casino advertises.
  2. Licence verified on the regulator's register — not a badge in a footer.
  3. Whether bonus terms are honoured in practice. We clear a bonus and withdraw the proceeds where the offer allows it.
  4. Game range and studio quality, weighted towards the studios UK players actually search for rather than raw title counts.
  5. Complaint volume on Trustpilot and Reddit, read for patterns rather than individual grievances.
  6. Which payment rails genuinely work for UK players, including whether UK-issued cards are declined.
  7. Trading history. Two years is the minimum we are comfortable listing; twelve is better.

The bottom line

If you want the widest game range with both crypto and card payments, FortuneJack is the site on this page we would pick — 7,000+ slot games, no stake cap, and the fastest payout we measured at under 15 minutes.

If anonymity matters more than breadth, Betpanda asks for less identification than anything else here. If you bet as well as spin, Cryptorino's sportsbook is the strongest. If verifiable licensing is what reassures you, BitStarz is the only operator here publishing a licence number you can check.

Whichever you choose, the habits matter more than the pick. Verify the licence, complete KYC before you need it, read the max-bet rule before accepting a bonus, open the paytable to see which RTP build you are playing, and withdraw regularly rather than letting a balance sit offshore.

This page is re-tested monthly and the payout times are re-measured each cycle.

It is not a criminal offence for a UK resident to play at an offshore casino. The operator, however, is not licensed to serve the UK market, so you have no UKGC protection and no access to UK dispute resolution.
Do I need a VPN to use a non-GamStop casino?
No. These sites accept UK traffic directly. Using a VPN can cause problems, because most operators' terms treat location masking as grounds to void winnings.
Can I cancel my GamStop self-exclusion early?
No. The minimum term is six months and it cannot be shortened. When the period expires the exclusion does not lift automatically — you have to contact GamStop and pass a 24-hour cooling-off period.
Are all online casinos on GamStop?
Only those holding a UK Gambling Commission licence. Offshore operators licensed in Anjouan, Curaçao or Costa Rica are not connected, which is the basis of this category.
Is there a stake limit at non-GamStop slots?
No. The £2 online slot stake cap is a UKGC rule. Offshore sites commonly allow £100+ per spin.
Do non-GamStop casinos accept PayPal?
No genuine one does. PayPal only partners with licensed operators in regulated markets. Cards, Paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller and crypto are the realistic options.
Will I have to verify my identity?
Not always up front, particularly on crypto. But every operator reserves the right to request documents, and larger withdrawals normally trigger it.
Which games are not on GamStop?
All of them — slots, Megaways, live roulette, blackjack, Slingo, scratch cards and crash originals are all available at operators outside the UKGC. What changes is the configuration: no £2 stake cap, bonus buy enabled, and RTP that the operator selects rather than being obliged to display.
Can I still play Book of Dead or Fishin' Frenzy offshore?
Yes. The studios licence the same titles worldwide. Book of Dead, Fishin' Frenzy, Big Bass Bonanza, Starburst and Eye of Horus all appear in offshore lobbies — often with the bonus buy that the UK version had removed.
Are offshore RTPs lower?
Not automatically, but they are not displayed by obligation either. Studios ship several builds of most titles and the operator chooses. Open the paytable before you spin — the figure there is from the build you are actually playing.
What is the maximum stake on a slot not on GamStop?
There is no regulatory cap. Ceilings are set by the studio and the operator, and £100 or more per spin is common on mainstream titles, against £2 at any UK-licensed site.
Can I buy the bonus round offshore?
Yes, where the studio ships the feature. Bonus buy typically costs 75× to 100× your stake and has been banned in Britain since 2021.
Do these sites have Evolution live games?
Some do. Evolution does not licence its feed to every offshore operator, so check for the named titles — Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette, Monopoly Big Baller — rather than trusting a "live casino" label.
How long does a withdrawal take?
Between 15 and 50 minutes on crypto across the sites we timed. Card withdrawals leave the casino just as fast but then take one to three working days at your bank.
Do I need crypto to play?
Not always. Most sites in this category are crypto-only, but FortuneJack and BitStarz both take Visa, Mastercard and e-wallets alongside coins.
